Using PDF documents with JamTutor

This article explains how you can upload PDF documents to your JamTutor chatbot on a recording, and ask questions about it to further your understanding, and work with pre lecture readings

This guide will show how to upload PDF documents to your JamTutor, and ask questions about the document.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open Your Recording

2. Navigate to the attachment icon and 'attach PDF'

  • Once the recording is open, navigate to the attachment icon in the bottom left corner of the JamTutor chatbot, and select 'Attach PDF'

3. Select the PDF you want to ask questions about

  • Select the PDF you want to ask questions about, and select 'open'

4. Your PDF will be uploaded

  • Your selected PDF will now be uploaded. To ensure the PDF has been uploaded correctly, you will see the 'context' appear at the top of the window.

5. Ask questions about your PDF document

  • You can now ask questions about your uploaded document by inputting them in the 'ask a question' box.

6. Close the context box to ask questions about your lecture

  • If you wish to stop asking questions about your PDF document and go back to your lecture, select the 'x' icon in the top right hand corner.

Top tip

  • You can also work with your PDF document in fullscreen video by selecting the expand icon in the top right hand corner
