How to make a PDF accessible with JamA11y

Add tags, alt text, and metadata to meet the PDF/UA standard, with no change to your PDF's appearance.

Upload a PDF

To get started, navigate to the JamA11y tab in the portal and select "Upload files".

Select the option "Tag a PDF". This adds tags, alt text, and metadata to meet the PDF/UA standard, without changing the PDF's appearance.

Upload up to 10 PDFs at a time, and select "Remediate" to start processing. Processing usually takes a few minutes depending on the document size.

Download the PDF/UA file

Once processing is complete, select "Download PDF" to save your remediated file.

View your tagged PDF

Select "View" from the actions menu to preview your tagged PDF.

Soon, you'll also be able to review and edit tags and image alt text within JamA11y:
