We've introduced Groups in the Jamworks Portal to help you organize students and grant them access to specific features.

Available Features for Students

Students can be assigned access to the following features:

  • Key Points

  • Enhanced Notes

  • Both Key Points and Enhanced Notes

By default, all students have access to Key Points, so there is no need to create a group specifically for this feature.

Accessing the Groups Page

  1. Log in to your admin account at Jamworks Portal.

  2. Navigate to the Groups page: https://portal.jamworks.com/groups.

Note: Only users with "Group Admin" rights can manage groups. If you're unsure about your access level, contact your super admin or Jamworks support.

Pre-Created Groups

Upon accessing the Groups page, you will find two predefined groups:

  • ENHANCED_NOTES_AND_KEY_POINTS (grants access to both features)

  • ENHANCED_NOTES (grants access to Enhanced Notes only)

Important: Do not rename these groups, as it may disrupt feature assignments.

Managing Group Membership

Adding Students to a Group

To assign students to a specific feature group:

  1. Go to Groups page - https://portal.jamworks.com/groups, and click on the desired group (ENHANCED_NOTES or ENHANCED_NOTES_AND_KEY_POINTS).

  2. Two columns will be displayed:

    • Left Column: Members of the group

    • Right Column: All university participants

  3. In the right column, select the students you want to add using the checkmark.

  4. Click Move to Group.

Outcome:

  • Students added to ENHANCED_NOTES will only have access to Enhanced Notes.

  • Students added to ENHANCED_NOTES_AND_KEY_POINTS will have access to both Enhanced Notes and Key Points.

  • Students who should only have access to Key Points do not need to be added to any group, as this is the default setting.

Removing Students from a Group

To remove a student from a group:

  1. Click on the relevant group (ENHANCED_NOTES or ENHANCED_NOTES_AND_KEY_POINTS).

  2. In the left column, select the students you wish to remove.

  3. Click Remove from Group.

The selected students will no longer have access to the features associated with that group. Students who are not assigned to any group will only have access to Key Points, as that is the default setting.
