Windows: How to Completely Remove and Reinstall the App

If you're experiencing issues with the Windows version of Jamworks application that cannot be resolved through standard troubleshooting steps, a complete uninstallation and reinstallation of the application, along with clearing its cache, might be necessary. Follow these instructions carefully to ensure a clean reinstallation.

Important Note:

When you clear the cache by deleting the Jamworks folder in the Roaming directory, all data is erased, including any unfinished recordings that have not been uploaded to our server.

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Open Programs and Features:

    • Navigate to Programs and Features, or

    • In the address line of any folder, type the following address and press Enter: (Use the address without quotes)

      Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features

  2. Uninstall Jamworks:

    • In the opened window, locate "Jamworks (Machine)" in the list of programs.

    • Right-click on "Jamworks (Machine)" and select "Uninstall."

  3. Navigate to the Roaming Directory:

    • After uninstalling, type the following address in the address line of any folder and press Enter:

      C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\
  4. Delete the Jamworks Folder:

    • In the opened directory, find and delete the "Jamworks" folder.

  5. Reinstall Jamworks:

    • After completing the above steps, you can install the Jamworks App again.

    • The application should now run successfully without any issues.
