Written by Lewis Maskell

This article will show you how you can annotate your lecture slides in Jamworks - both during and after a recording.

Step 1: Upload your lecture slides

Upload your lecture slides at the start of your Jamworks recording. To upload your slides, first start a Jamworks recording.

Once started, select the 'write notes' button, and select 'slide notes'. Here, you can select 'add PDF slide'. Select the slide deck you wish to upload.

The Jamworks recording widget, on the 'slide notes' tab. Arrow is pointing towards the '+ PDF Slide' button.

If you forget, or don't have access to your slides before class, you can also upload your lecture slides after class.

On your recording, navigate to the 'slides' tab and select 'add PDF slide. Select the slide deck you wish to upload.

Step 2: Annotate your slides

Once your slides are uploaded, first select the slide you wish to annotate, and then select the three dots in the top right hand corner of the slide. Here select 'Annotate slide'.

This will active the annotation mode, and the tool bar will appear. Here, you can select the brush tool to add drawings / lines to your slides, the text tool to add text, and the colour box to change the colour of your annotations.

IMPORTANT: Once you have finished creating your annotations, you must select the tick to save your annotations on that slide.

Step 3: Review and edit your annotations

Once you have annotated your slides, and ended your recording, your annotations will be saved.

When you go to review your recording after class, your annotations will be saved on your slides in the 'slides' tab.

Here, you can again select the three dots in the top right hand corner, and select 'annotate slides' to add to and edit your slide annotations.
