The Jamworks mobile app now allows you to take photos while recording audio - perfect for capturing slides, whiteboards, or handwritten notes in real time. These images are automatically timestamped and synced with your recording, so everything stays organised and easy to review later on both mobile and desktop. There is also the option to upload pre-existing media during or after a recording.

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Start a New Recording

  • Open the Jamworks app on your mobile device.

  • Tap the Record button to begin capturing audio.

2. Take a Picture During Recording

  • While recording, tap the Camera icon on the recording screen.

  • This opens your device's camera within the Jamworks app - no need to exit the recording!

  • By clicking the "camera roll" icon you can access your camera roll to upload pre-existing media.

3. Capture the Image

  • Take the photo as you normally would.

  • Once taken, Jamworks will:
    - Timestamp the image with the exact moment it was captured.
    - Automatically sync it with the ongoing audio recording.

    - All captured images are saved alongside the recording, both in the mobile app and your desktop version of Jamworks.

  • You can also add new photos after the recording has ended by clicking the "add image" icon on either the desktop or mobile app.

4. Viewing on Desktop

  • Go to jamworks.com and sign in to your account.

  • Open the relevant recording from your library.

  • All synced pictures will appear in the notes tab on your recordings page.
